Dungeon Master II: The Legend of Skullkeep
DOSDungeon Crawler
Dungeon Master II: The Legend of Skullkeep is a first-person real-time dungeon-crawling role-playing game developed by FTL Games and published for DOS by Interplay Productions. The player leads Theron and a group of recruited companions through a dangerous world centered on the ruined Skullkeep fortress. Exploration, environmental puzzles, item management, spell casting, and close-quarters combat are handled directly from the party’s viewpoint. Compared with the original Dungeon Master, the sequel expands the adventure beyond a single dungeon with outdoor areas, towns, non-player characters, and recruitable allies. Its real-time systems and atmospheric exploration were generally well regarded, although the interface and technical presentation could feel dated. The game remains a distinctive late example of FTL’s dungeon-crawling design.
How is this list kept current?
How rankings are calculated
The list is generated from active EmuGamers catalog entries. Votes and play activity determine order; browser compatibility is reported separately and does not turn an untested game into a higher-ranked recommendation.
| Order | Signal | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Real community votes | Games with at least one recorded vote appear before games with no votes. |
| 2 | Rating confidence | More votes rank first, followed by the rating value. |
| 3 | Play activity | Play count breaks rating ties and orders entries with no votes. |
| 4 | Stable tie-break | Game name keeps otherwise equal results deterministic. |
