Content and Copyright Policy

Scope

This policy applies to claimed infringement involving material that EmuGamers hosts or controls. For a dispute about an external website, game distributor, or platform, contact that service directly. A game record may identify or link to third-party material without transferring any ownership rights to EmuGamers.

Submitting a copyright notice

A written notice should contain enough information for us to identify the claimant, locate the material, contact the claimant, and evaluate the claim. In the United States, a notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) generally includes the following.

• A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner.
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, or a representative list when multiple works are covered.
• Identification and a precise URL or other location of the material claimed to be infringing.
• Contact information reasonably sufficient to reach the claimant, such as name, address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement of good-faith belief that the complained-of use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the sender is authorized to act for the owner.

Where to send notices

Send copyright notices to the current designated copyright contact through the EmuGamers Contact page. Do not send passwords, payment information, or unrelated personal information. For non-copyright game errors, use the report action on the relevant game page instead.

Review and action

We review notices for completeness and may request clarification. When appropriate, we may remove or disable access to the identified material, preserve records, notify affected submitters where appropriate, or take other reasonable action. We may reject notices that are materially incomplete, abusive, or clearly unrelated to material under our control.

Counter-notices

If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notice with the information required by applicable law. We will evaluate it and may restore access where appropriate, subject to the relevant legal process and time periods.

Repeat infringement and policy updates

We may terminate or restrict accounts or submissions in appropriate circumstances involving repeated infringement or misuse of this process. We may revise this policy as our service or legal obligations change. Rights holders should consult qualified counsel for advice about a particular notice or dispute.
