How it plays

How does The Lost Vikings play?

The game uses a side-view perspective and presents self-contained stages. The objective is to guide Erik, Baleog, and Olaf to the exit while collecting required items, surviving hazards, and using switches, platforms, and environmental mechanisms.

Players can switch between the Vikings at any time. Erik’s speed and headbutt, Baleog’s bow and sword, and Olaf’s shield support different solutions. Stages become more demanding by requiring precise timing, item use, enemy management, and coordinated positioning; losing a Viking usually makes the stage unsolvable.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play The Lost Vikings?

Study the whole room before moving anyone into danger. Identify which Viking can perform each required action, then leave that character in a safe position before switching.

Use Olaf’s shield to control enemy fire and create temporary footing, while preserving Baleog’s ammunition and Erik’s mobility for the moments that specifically require them. If a stage appears impossible, check for a missed switch, pickup, or alternate route rather than relying on combat.

Meet the cast

Who are the key characters?

1

Erik the Swift

The fastest Viking. He can run, jump, and headbutt certain obstacles and enemies.

2

Baleog the Fierce

The combat specialist, equipped with a sword for close attacks and a bow for ranged attacks.

3

The defensive Viking. His shield blocks attacks and hazards and can serve as a platform.

4

Tomator

An alien emperor who abducts the Vikings and forces them through dangerous worlds.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Keep the three Vikings close enough that a mistake with one does not strand the others.

  2. 2

Use Baleog’s ranged attack to remove threats before sending Erik or Olaf forward.

  3. 3

Olaf’s shield can block hazards and enable jumps, but it does not solve every environmental problem.
