Players guide the main character through the available Sonic 3 Complete Sonic 2 Sprites stages, move, jump, use the active attacks or abilities, collect items, avoid hazards, and reach exits or scenario goals. Test the opening area to identify the current movement, collision, enemy, and progression rules because the exact ROM may differ from related releases.

Start in a safe area and learn the active controls, objective, timing, and resource limits before committing progress in Sonic 3 Complete Sonic 2 Sprites. Keep a separate save for this exact platform and version, preserve a state before bosses, long transitions, or important choices when supported, and record the ROM label, screen, and action when behavior differs from a related release.
