The Dark Queen of Krynn

DOSComputer role-playing game

The Dark Queen of Krynn is a party-based fantasy computer role-playing game developed and published by Strategic Simulations, Inc. for DOS in 1992. It is the third Gold Box game set in the Dragonlance world and concludes the Krynn trilogy. Players create and lead an adventuring party during a renewed conflict with the armies of Takhisis, the Dark Queen. The game combines menu-driven exploration, tactical combat, character development, and story scenes based on the Dragonlance setting. It was generally regarded as a solid and atmospheric entry in SSI’s long-running Gold Box line, though its interface and presentation were already showing their age.

How rankings are calculated

The list is generated from active EmuGamers catalog entries. Votes and play activity determine order; browser compatibility is reported separately and does not turn an untested game into a higher-ranked recommendation.
