Fighting Force 64

Nintendo 64Beat 'em up

Fighting Force 64 is a 3D beat 'em up developed by Core Design for the Nintendo 64. It places one or two players in the role of a resistance fighter battling through urban environments controlled by the criminal organization led by Dr. Dex Zeng. The game combines direct hand-to-hand combat with throwable and breakable environmental objects, giving its brawling a more open feel than a traditional side-scrolling fighter. Players choose from four fighters with different strengths and work through a sequence of city-based stages. The Nintendo 64 version was received as a competent but technically uneven console adaptation, with its cooperative mode and large 3D arenas standing out more positively than its repetitive combat and camera issues.
