Pipe Dream is the North American NES adaptation of the pipe-connecting puzzle game Pipe Mania, developed by BlueSky Software and published by Bullet-Proof Software in 1990. Each round gives the player a succession of pipe pieces that must be arranged into a continuous route on a fixed grid. The objective is to build a long enough connection before the automatic flow reaches a dead end. Its play style combines quick placement with forward planning, because the next piece is only partly predictable and unused spaces can close off future routes.
