How it plays

How does Alien Hominid play?

The game uses a side-view perspective. The alien moves through linear stages, defeats agents and creatures, avoids hazards, and reaches the end of each area. Enemies attack from both sides, so movement, aiming, jumping, and rapid shooting are all important.

Progression is stage-based rather than experience-based. The player advances through a sequence of missions, faces tougher enemy patterns, and uses the alien’s bite and other close-range attacks when enemies get too close. The GBA version is designed for one player.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Alien Hominid?

Keep moving instead of standing in open areas, because enemies can approach from either side. Use jumps to cross hazards and reposition, then fire while maintaining distance.

Save close-range attacks for enemies that enter melee range. Learn the timing of each stage’s enemy waves, and avoid rushing into new screens before checking for hazards or incoming fire.
