How it plays
Move through platforming scenes, avoid or deal with enemies, and enter short mini-games that interrupt the main route. The character can jump in the platform sections, while the mini-games use attacks and timed inputs to reproduce the show-like comic set pieces.
Plan your run
Watch the animation before pressing through a scene because the joke or mini-game cue often explains the next action, and use the pause function when learning a Japanese menu. In action rooms, keep moving and use the attack input only when an enemy is in range.
Bakushou Yoshimoto no Shinkigeki is a Japan-only TurboGrafx-CD comedy platformer developed and published by Hudson Soft. It adapts the Yoshimoto comedy troupe's characters and uses comic expressions, voice, and laugh-track presentation as part of the game's tone.
