How it plays

How does BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception play?

The game uses an overhead view for travel and exploration. Jason moves through towns and outdoor areas, talks with residents, searches locations, buys or manages equipment, and recruits or works with members of the Crescent Hawks.

Combat is built around BattleMech engagements viewed from above. The objective is usually to defeat opposing units or complete a local mission while preserving your own force. Progress comes from gaining experience, improving the lance's equipment and pilots, and locating information or resources needed to continue the investigation.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception?

Explore each settlement carefully before moving on. Conversations and local services can reveal useful leads, equipment, or recruits, so rushing directly toward the next battle can leave the lance underprepared.

Preserve damaged BattleMechs and avoid unnecessary engagements. Improve the force gradually, keep track of available supplies, and use terrain and positioning to reduce incoming fire during tactical encounters.
