How it plays
The game uses a first-person perspective. Players move through linear missions, fire weapons, use explosives, complete objectives, and sometimes operate vehicles or mounted weapons. The campaign progresses through scripted stages with changing locations and mission goals.
A DS-specific touch interface supports aiming and interaction, while the campaign supplies new weapons and situations as it advances. Multiplayer modes provide additional matches separate from the story campaign.
Plan your run
Conserve ammunition when possible and search each combat area before advancing. Use cover, prioritize enemies with heavy weapons, and follow the objective indicator rather than rushing through scripted encounters.
During vehicle and mounted-weapon sections, focus on the targets required by the current objective; destroying every enemy is not always necessary.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: Defiance is a first-person shooter developed by n-Space and published by Activision for Nintendo DS. It presents a separate handheld campaign set during the global conflict associated with Modern Warfare 3, placing the player in a series of military operations against invading forces. Missions combine shooting, objective-based movement, vehicle sequences, and occasional touch-screen interactions. The game also includes multiplayer options designed around the DS hardware. Reviews generally recognized its effort to bring a large console-style military campaign to Nintendo's portable system, while noting technical compromises, simplified presentation, and limitations caused by the hardware.
