Captain America / Steve Rogers
The playable superhero, using enhanced strength, hand-to-hand combat, and his distinctive shield to fight through enemy facilities.
How it plays
The game uses a side-scrolling perspective. Captain America advances through linear stages, defeats groups of enemies, avoids hazards, and reaches the end of each area.
Combat centers on close attacks and the Captain's shield. Stages include platforming sections, collectibles, enemy encounters, and boss battles. Progression comes from completing missions and advancing through the story rather than from a large character-upgrade system.
Plan your run
Use the shield to control enemy groups before committing to close combat, especially when several soldiers attack at once.
Learn the timing of jumps and hazards instead of rushing. Explore side paths where possible, and save health for boss encounters rather than trading damage with ordinary enemies.

Captain America: Super Soldier is a 2011 Nintendo DS action-adventure game developed by Griptonite Games and published by Sega. It adapts the Captain America film setting into a side-scrolling adventure built around combat, platforming, and shield-based abilities. Players control Steve Rogers as he infiltrates a fortified enemy stronghold, battles hostile soldiers and super-powered foes, and uncovers a wartime conspiracy. The DS edition is a separate design from the home-console versions, with simplified stages and handheld-focused presentation. Reception was mixed, with reviewers generally recognizing the character appeal while finding the experience brief and mechanically modest.
