How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective. Keen explores a world map and enters individual stages, where he must reach the exit while collecting points, gems, ammunition, and extra lives. Stages contain platforms, hazards, locked routes, hidden areas, and enemies that can be stunned with Keen’s raygun.
Keen can run, jump, fire, and use his pogo stick to cross gaps or reach higher platforms. Some areas require switches, keys, or careful movement around enemies. Progress is made by clearing stages on the map, with optional secret areas rewarding thorough exploration.
Plan your run
Study enemy movement before committing to a jump, especially in narrow passages and vertical rooms. Use the raygun for dangerous enemies, but conserve ammunition when a safe route allows you to pass without fighting.
Search walls, corners, and alternate routes for gems, ammunition, and secret areas. The pogo stick is useful for exploration as well as emergency recovery, but avoid bouncing blindly near hazards or low ceilings.
