Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game presents a sequence of screen-based scenes rather than a freely scrolling world. The objective is to protect the traveling party and reach the end of each route by eliminating threats before they can attack.
Players aim at targets and fire at enemies, hazards, and scene elements. Progress depends on surviving each encounter and responding quickly; the available route and target arrangement provide the main structure instead of character statistics, equipment trees, or extensive exploration.
Plan your run
Watch the entire scene before firing whenever possible. Prioritize enemies that can immediately threaten the travelers, then remove secondary hazards and targets that may obstruct the next shot.
Conserve attention rather than firing randomly. Learn recurring attack positions and use deliberate shots, since a missed target can leave the party exposed while the screen continues to develop.
Crossbow is an arcade action game built around the idea of guiding a traveler through dangerous wilderness with a crossbow. The player advances through fixed, illustrated scenes and shoots enemies, obstacles, and useful targets while trying to keep the expedition alive. The original game was developed by Exidy and is particularly associated with its dedicated crossbow controller, which gave the shooting mechanics an unusual physical feel. The DOS release adapts that premise for home computers, although detailed information about its developer, publication history, and exact release date is limited. Its appeal comes from short challenge sequences, simple objectives, and the tension of choosing targets quickly.
