How it plays

How does Dark Ages: Volume 3 - Dungeons of Doom play?

The game uses a two-dimensional side view. The objective is to cross each dungeon area, defeat enemies, collect useful items, and reach the exit while surviving hazards and limited health.

Levels are arranged as separate platforming stages with vertical passages, secret areas, keys, treasures, and hostile creatures. The player advances by running, jumping, attacking, and carefully choosing routes through rooms and corridors. Progress comes from completing stages and reaching later parts of the volume; it does not use a modern character-leveling system.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Dark Ages: Volume 3 - Dungeons of Doom?

Study enemy movement before committing to a jump, and keep room to retreat when several enemies approach. Search side passages for treasure and useful pickups, but do not trade unnecessary damage for optional items.

Use platforms and vertical space to separate enemies. When a route contains a key or exit, clear nearby threats first so a missed jump or collision does not force a dangerous recovery.
