Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game is viewed from a first-person perspective. The player explores interconnected areas, searches containers and locations, collects equipment, interacts with objects, and fights hostile creatures or opponents.
Progress depends on solving environmental problems, managing an inventory, and using appropriate items at the right time. Exploration and survival are more important than a simple stage-by-stage score attack, and mistakes can be costly because resources and health require careful management.
Plan your run
Search each area thoroughly before moving on, especially for equipment and objects that may be needed later.
Conserve ammunition and medical supplies. Avoid unnecessary fights when exploration or item use can solve the immediate problem, and keep the inventory organized so important tools can be found quickly.
Before you begin
Save often before entering unfamiliar areas or attempting a risky encounter.
Check environmental objects carefully; progression may depend on finding a specific item.
Manage health, ammunition, and inventory space instead of treating every encounter as a direct firefight.
Deus is a science-fiction action-adventure game developed by Silmarils and released for DOS in 1996. It combines first-person exploration, real-time combat, inventory management, environmental problem solving, and role-playing elements. The game presents a dangerous futuristic setting in which the player investigates a hostile world while managing equipment, health, and resources. Its play style is slower and more exploratory than a conventional shooter, with progression depending on finding objects and understanding the environment. Deus received attention for its ambitious 3D presentation and broad simulation features, although contemporary criticism often noted its difficult interface, demanding pace, and uneven accessibility.
