How it plays

How does Digimon World Dawn play?

The game uses a top-down exploration view for towns, fields, and dungeons. The main objective is to complete quests, investigate the Digital World crisis, and raise a team strong enough to defeat increasingly difficult opponents.

Battles are turn-based and use a party of up to three active Digimon, with additional Digimon available for support. Players choose attacks, skills, items, and defensive commands, then manage types, attributes, equipment, and technique costs. Digimon can be recruited, scanned, devolved, evolved, and trained in farms. Progression comes from experience, quests, equipment, farm development, and meeting evolution requirements.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Digimon World Dawn?

Build a balanced party instead of relying on one attribute or family. Keep Digimon with different attack types and useful support skills so the team can handle varied enemy defenses.

Use farms to train statistics and ABI-related requirements, and devolve Digimon when necessary to open stronger evolution routes. Save before major evolution decisions, and keep several Digimon available so quest requirements do not halt progress.
