Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game uses a top-down or angled battlefield view. Missions generally require the player to construct and defend a base, secure resource sites, produce units, and destroy opposing forces or complete scenario objectives.
Players manage structures, research upgrades, and groups of military units in real time. The campaign is organized around faction-specific scenarios, with new technology and units becoming available as the player advances. Faction choice changes the available forces and strategic options.
Plan your run
Secure nearby resource locations before expanding too far, and keep a defensive force near vulnerable mining or production structures.
Scout the map early, group similar units for easier control, and research upgrades that support the army composition you are actually using. Avoid committing the entire force to one attack before identifying enemy production and reinforcement routes.
Before you begin
Protect resource and production structures; losing the base can end a mission quickly.
Use scouting to locate enemy bases and resource sites before committing to a major assault.
Dominion: Storm Over Gift 3 is a science-fiction real-time strategy game developed and published by 7th Level for DOS. It places the player in command of one of three opposing factions—Humans, Minions, or Solons—during a campaign for control of the planet Gift 3. Play takes place on battlefield maps where the player establishes a base, gathers resources, researches technology, and directs combat units in real time. The game emphasizes conventional base building and tactical unit control rather than character-driven storytelling. Its reception was mixed: reviewers noted its ambitious 3D presentation and faction-based strategy, but criticized the interface, artificial intelligence, and execution compared with better-established RTS games of the period.
