How it plays

How does Destruction Derby play?

The game uses a third-person view behind the car. Events include ordinary races, head-to-head competition, and demolition arenas in which drivers crash into one another for points and survival.

Players steer, accelerate, brake, overtake, and deliberately ram rivals. Finishing well and winning arena events advances the competition, while repeated impacts can damage the vehicle and reduce its effectiveness. The emphasis is on choosing when to race cleanly and when to attack.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Destruction Derby?

Use the outer line in normal races to avoid early pileups, then turn toward opponents only when a safe hit is available. In demolition events, preserve speed and avoid being trapped against the wall.

Watch the car's damage state and favor weakened opponents. A controlled impact is usually more useful than repeated low-speed crashes that leave your own vehicle exposed.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Avoid the first cluster of cars at the start of an arena event.

  2. 2

Use glancing blows when possible; direct head-on collisions damage both vehicles heavily.

  3. 3

Learn each track's corners before attempting aggressive overtakes.
