How it plays

How does Road Rash play?

Races are viewed from behind the motorcycle on scrolling roads containing traffic, hazards, police, and rival riders. The objective is to finish ahead of the required opponents while staying on the road and managing the bike’s speed.

Players can steer, accelerate, brake, attack nearby riders, and recover after crashes. Successful races award money and advance the career through harder events, faster opponents, and improved motorcycles. The main structure is a sequence of races rather than a story-driven campaign.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Road Rash?

Stay near the center of the road when visibility is limited, but move decisively around traffic rather than making repeated small corrections. Avoid unnecessary attacks when a clean overtake is available.

Save prize money for a faster or more durable motorcycle, and learn each road’s curves before committing to maximum speed. Police and roadside obstacles can turn a winning race into a crash, so preserving control is usually more valuable than taking every shortcut.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Use attacks only when you are close enough to make contact; missed swings cost control.

  2. 2

Brake before sharp bends instead of relying on last-second steering.

  3. 3

Upgrade the motorcycle when the current bike cannot keep pace with the field.
