How it plays

How does Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure play?

The main campaign uses a side-scrolling perspective. Goku travels through stages, defeats groups of enemies, collects items, and reaches a boss or story encounter at the end of each area.

Players can run, jump, attack, defend, and use special techniques. Progression follows the early Dragon Ball narrative, with new locations, opponents, and playable content becoming available as the story advances.

Additional modes include versus battles and other unlockable challenges, giving the game more replay value after the main adventure is completed.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure?

Learn the timing of Goku's basic attack before relying on special moves. Short attack strings are safer than remaining beside a large group of enemies.

  • Use jumps and movement to avoid projectiles and crowded encounters.
  • Save energy for bosses, where a well-timed Kamehameha can create an opening.
  • Explore stages for items and complete optional content to improve later attempts.
