Dragon Ball: Origins is an action-adventure and beat 'em up game developed by Game Republic and published by Bandai Namco Games for Nintendo DS. It adapts the opening portion of Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball, following Goku and Bulma as they travel across the world in search of the seven Dragon Balls. The game combines real-time combat, stylus-driven interaction, exploration, light puzzles, and equipment-based progression. Players control Goku through a colorful isometric presentation, with Bulma supporting him through gadgets and ranged attacks. Critics generally praised its faithful presentation, inventive touch-screen controls, and approachable combat, while some found the camera and repeated encounters less polished. It remains one of the more substantial Dragon Ball adaptations on Nintendo DS.
