How it plays
Battles use a side-on 2D perspective with free movement through a limited three-dimensional arena. Players attack, block, fly, dash, charge ki, and use special techniques while managing health and energy.
Story paths follow different characters through battles based on the Dragon Ball Z timeline, with branching or alternate scenarios in some campaigns. Other modes support individual fights and team-based combat, while victories unlock additional characters, stories, and battle options.
Plan your run
Stay mobile instead of trading attacks continuously. Use flight and dashes to control distance, then punish recovery after an opponent misses a heavy attack.
Charge ki during safe openings and reserve enough energy for defense or a team technique. In team battles, switch characters before a weakened fighter is defeated and use assists to extend pressure or interrupt an opponent's attack.
Against large characters, attack from above or below rather than approaching directly. Learn which special moves can be safely used after a dash or knockback.

Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 is a Nintendo DS fighting game developed by Cavia and published by Atari. It presents the Dragon Ball Z cast in compact, fast-moving battles that take place across open aerial arenas rather than traditional flat stages. The game combines close-range attacks, ki techniques, flight, defensive movement, and team assists. Its story content revisits major Dragon Ball Z conflicts while adding hypothetical scenarios and character interactions. A broad roster, tag-team mechanics, and portable presentation made it a well-regarded sequel, although some critics noted that its visual style and controls were less refined than those of larger console fighters.
