How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective. Jim runs, jumps, lashes enemies with his whip, fires selected weapons, and uses his worm body or environmental objects to solve hazards. Levels include conventional platforming as well as distinctive tasks such as flying, racing, and manipulating Snot.
Progression is linear: completing a stage unlocks the next part of the adventure. Players manage health, ammunition, enemy patterns, moving platforms, and hazards, with boss encounters and specialized objectives breaking up the standard run-and-gun action.
Plan your run
Learn each stage's special rule before rushing forward. Use the whip for close threats and conserve ammunition for enemies or targets that are difficult to reach safely.
Watch moving platforms and environmental hazards rather than relying only on reflexes. In vehicle and Snot-based sections, prioritize the route and timing objectives; taking unnecessary risks often costs more health than it saves.

Earthworm Jim 2 is a side-scrolling action platformer developed by GameBrains for the Game Boy Advance and published by Majesco Entertainment. It adapts the second Earthworm Jim adventure, combining traditional platforming with shooting, whip combat, vehicle sections, and unusual challenge stages. Jim must stop Psy-Crow from marrying Princess What's-Her-Name while facing bizarre enemies and obstacles across a sequence of heavily themed levels. The game retains the series' cartoon humor and exaggerated animation, although the portable version is more limited than the 16-bit originals. Reception focused on its faithful content and humor, while noting technical compromises and occasional control or presentation issues typical of the hardware.
