How it plays

How does Elite Plus play?

The game uses a first-person cockpit perspective. The player chooses destinations from a galaxy map, launches from space stations, travels through hyperspace, and docks at planetary stations to buy and sell goods. Piracy, bounty hunting, and encounters with hostile ships provide alternative ways to earn credits.

Progression is largely self-directed. Profits can be invested in better equipment and ships, while combat success improves the player's rating. Fuel, cargo capacity, weapons, and defensive systems all affect which routes and encounters are practical.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Elite Plus?

Begin with legal trade on short routes and keep enough credits in reserve for fuel and repairs. Compare prices at both ends of a route instead of filling the hold without checking the destination market.

Upgrade survival equipment before prioritizing expensive weapons. Avoid unnecessary fights near stations, watch the scanner, and use hyperspace or docking when an encounter is beyond the current ship's capabilities.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Start with low-risk cargo and short journeys until navigation and docking are reliable.

  2. 2

Keep reserve credits for fuel, repairs, and emergency escape decisions.

  3. 3

Use the galaxy map to plan routes instead of jumping without checking the destination.
