The newly crowned empress and central figure of the story, forced to defend her realm while navigating court politics and war.
How it plays
Battles use a top-down, grid-based perspective. The objective is generally to defeat the opposing force or complete the scenario’s stated mission while protecting important units.
Players move individual characters, choose attacks or abilities, and manage positioning during alternating turns. Maps and enemy formations create different tactical problems, while campaign progression links battles with narrative scenes and provides opportunities to strengthen the party.
Plan your run
Use terrain, formation, and turn order to avoid exposing weaker units. Concentrate attacks when possible instead of scattering damage across several enemies.
Before committing to an advance, check the likely range of enemy attacks and preserve support or recovery abilities for the later stages of a scenario. Reassess the formation after every turn because a favorable position can be lost quickly on a grid map.
Meet the cast

Before you begin
Keep vulnerable characters behind sturdier frontline units.
Study enemy reach before ending a turn.
Use the campaign’s character-development options consistently rather than spreading resources too thinly.
Empire of Angels II is a DOS tactical role-playing game developed and published by SOFTSTAR ENTERTAINMENT INC. It combines a fantasy story with turn-based battles played on grid-based maps. Players command a roster of angelic female warriors, position units carefully, and use character abilities to overcome opposing forces. The campaign is structured around linked scenarios rather than free exploration, with story events connecting one battle to the next. As a sequel, it expands the setting and strategic framework of the original Empire of Angels. It remains primarily known within the Taiwanese computer-game tradition, while detailed contemporary international reception is limited.
