Rentar-Ihrno
A major antagonist whose actions and schemes are central to the conflicts surrounding the surface world.
How it plays
The game uses a top-down, tile-based perspective. The party explores towns, roads, wilderness, ruins, and dungeons while accepting quests, speaking with inhabitants, collecting supplies, and searching for hidden areas. Most locations can be approached in several orders, although some regions require specific quests or abilities.
Combat takes place in turn-based encounters on the exploration map. Characters spend action points to move, attack, cast spells, use items, and perform special abilities. Experience, training, equipment, spells, and skills improve the party over time. The game supports a single adventuring party rather than separate multiplayer modes.
Plan your run
Explore methodically and record unusual passages, locked doors, suspicious walls, and quest names. Many objectives are resolved through dialogue, item use, or a skill check rather than combat, so revisit towns after major story events and keep several types of ability available in the party.
Build a balanced group with reliable melee defense, ranged or magical damage, healing, and utility skills. Save before entering unknown areas, conserve rare spells and consumables, and use terrain and chokepoints to prevent enemies from surrounding fragile characters. Equipment upgrades and skill training often matter more than pursuing a narrow specialization.

Exile III: Ruined World is a party-based fantasy computer role-playing game developed and published by Spiderweb Software for DOS. It is the third game in the Exile series and follows a group of adventurers who return to the surface after the events of the earlier games. The kingdom is fractured by invasion, rebellion, and political conflict, leaving the party to investigate threats and restore stability. Exploration, dialogue, quest solving, and turn-based combat form the core play style, with a flexible party of custom-created characters. The game was noted for its unusually large world, extensive writing, and freedom of approach. Its presentation was modest, but it earned a lasting reputation among fans of independent, text-rich computer RPGs.
