Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game uses a first-person cockpit perspective. Each mission assigns objectives such as striking a target, performing reconnaissance, or attacking designated military installations while avoiding or suppressing air defenses.
The player plans the flight, manages navigation and weapons, approaches targets at night, and uses the F-117A's stealth profile and limited maneuvering carefully. Campaign progress depends on mission results, aircraft survival, and operational performance.
Plan your run
Study the mission objectives before takeoff and use the planned route to limit exposure to radar and air-defense zones.
Approach targets at night, avoid unnecessary turns or emissions, and release weapons only after confirming the correct target. Leave enough fuel and distance for a controlled withdrawal rather than treating the return flight as an afterthought.
Before you begin
Treat radar avoidance and mission planning as primary objectives; the F-117A is not designed for conventional dogfighting.
F-117A Nighthawk Stealth Fighter 2.0 is a combat flight simulation developed and published by MicroProse for DOS. It places the player in command of the F-117A Nighthawk, carrying out night attack missions against defended targets while minimizing radar exposure. The game emphasizes planning, navigation, weapons employment, and stealth rather than arcade-style maneuvering. Missions are organized into campaigns and scenarios set across several operational theaters, with success depending on completing objectives and returning safely. It followed MicroProse's F-19 Stealth Fighter and retained that game's detailed simulation approach while updating the aircraft and presentation. Contemporary players generally valued its depth and atmosphere, although its complexity and dated graphics made it less immediately accessible than action-oriented flight games.
