How it plays

How does F-15 Strike Eagle II play?

The player views the action from the cockpit of an F-15. A mission normally requires takeoff, navigation toward a target area, engagement of ground installations or aircraft, and a safe return to base.

Before and during a mission, the player manages altitude, speed, direction, weapons, and fuel. Air-to-air threats and surface defenses make approach and withdrawal important parts of the sortie.

Progression is based on completing missions and improving performance rather than on a character campaign or persistent equipment tree. The game is primarily a single-player mission experience.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play F-15 Strike Eagle II?

Use a controlled approach to the target instead of flying directly at it at low altitude. Monitor fuel and preserve enough capacity for the return flight.

Attack ground targets with a brief, deliberate pass, then disengage and regain distance. Avoid spending all ammunition on the first opportunity, because later defenses or enemy aircraft may require it.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Plan the route before entering the target area and keep a clear withdrawal direction.

  2. 2

Use altitude and speed deliberately: low approaches can help with exposure, but they reduce recovery time when threats appear.

  3. 3

Return to base with fuel and weapons discipline instead of treating every encounter as a dogfight.
