How it plays

How does Fallen Haven play?

The player views a strategic map from an overhead perspective and manages territory, facilities, resources, research, and military units. Strategic decisions determine which locations can be developed and how many forces can be committed to defense or attack.

Battles use turn-based tactical maps. Units move, attack, and occupy terrain while the player pursues objectives such as eliminating opposing forces or securing a position. Campaign progress unlocks improved equipment and capabilities, but casualties and resource shortages can make later operations more difficult.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Fallen Haven?

Protect experienced units whenever possible, because replacing veterans is costly and weakened forces reduce your options in later battles.

Develop your economy and research early, then avoid spreading units across too many fronts. Use terrain and defensible positions to force the enemy to approach on unfavorable terms, and inspect objectives before committing to an attack.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Keep a reserve force near important facilities and vulnerable objectives.

  2. 2

Prioritize research and production that support the current campaign situation rather than pursuing every option.

  3. 3

Save before major strategic decisions so you can evaluate the consequences of a failed operation.
