Fernando Martín

How it plays
Matches are presented from a side-on court perspective. The objective is to score more points than the opposing team before the game ends, while preventing successful attacks at the other basket.
Players move around the court, handle the ball, pass, dribble, attempt shots, and contest possession in defense. The game supports single-player and two-player play, with progression centered on completing matches rather than a documented season or career system.
Plan your run
Use short passes to move the ball away from defenders and avoid holding possession in crowded areas. Create space before shooting, and approach the basket when a long attempt is unlikely to succeed.
On defense, stay between the ball carrier and the basket. Recover quickly after a missed shot and prioritize regaining possession over chasing the ball across the court.

Fernando Martín Basket Master is a basketball simulation developed and published by Dinamic Software for DOS in 1987. It is named after Fernando Martín, the Spanish international and Real Madrid player who became one of the country’s best-known basketball figures. The game presents a compact arcade-style interpretation of basketball, combining direct player control with the basic rhythm of a competitive match. Players attack, defend, pass, dribble, and shoot while trying to outscore the opposing team. Its simple presentation reflects the technical limits of contemporary home computers, but the licensed association with Martín gave it unusual visibility in Spain. The game is chiefly remembered as an early Spanish basketball title and as part of Dinamic’s important 1980s sports catalogue.
