How it plays

How does Fly! play?

The game uses a first-person cockpit perspective. The main objective is to complete flights safely by preparing the aircraft, navigating between airports, following procedures, and landing under changing conditions.

Players select an aircraft and flight situation, operate cockpit controls, tune navigation and communication equipment, and manage speed, altitude, and course. Progression is primarily skill-based: improvement comes from learning aircraft systems, navigation, weather management, and increasingly demanding flight situations rather than from a conventional character or equipment upgrade system.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Fly!?

Learn one aircraft thoroughly before attempting difficult flights. Practice basic turns, climbs, descents, approaches, and landings in calm conditions, then add navigation and weather complications.

Use checklists, maintain a stable airspeed and altitude, and begin descent planning well before reaching the destination. When a flight goes wrong, identify whether the cause was configuration, navigation, fuel management, or communication rather than relying on trial and error.
