Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
Matches use a two-dimensional overhead or angled field view, with the player controlling the active footballer while teammates are handled by the game. The objective is to score more goals than the opposing team before time expires.
Players move around the pitch, pass, shoot, challenge for possession, and defend their goal. Match structure and available options depend on the selected competition or exhibition setup. Progression is based on winning successive fixtures rather than character development or equipment upgrades.
Plan your run
Keep possession moving with short passes instead of relying on long runs. Create space by switching play across the pitch, then shoot when the goalkeeper is screened or out of position.
Defend by closing passing lanes and avoiding unnecessary challenges near your own goal. Learn the timing of the shooting and tackling controls, since small input mistakes can quickly give the opponent an opening.
Before you begin
Use short passes to maintain possession.
Shoot after creating a clear angle rather than from crowded areas.
Protect the center of the pitch when defending.
Football Glory is a 1994 football game developed by Croatian studio Croteam for DOS. It combines association-football rules with an arcade-oriented presentation, focusing on quick matches, direct control, and straightforward attacking play rather than detailed simulation. Players guide a team through matches using passing, shooting, tackling, and goalkeeper control. The game belongs to the early PC tradition of compact, action-focused football titles and was released during a period when home-computer sports games were becoming more accessible. Its historical importance comes mainly from being Croteam’s first published game. Football Glory received limited international exposure, but it remains a notable early example of the studio’s work and is remembered by retro players for its fast, uncomplicated approach to football.
