Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game uses simple screen-based activities viewed from a fixed, largely two-dimensional perspective. Players select an activity and interact with pictures, objects, or prompts to complete recognition, matching, and early-learning tasks.
There is no conventional action campaign, combat system, or character progression. Progress comes from completing individual exercises and moving between the available activities, with feedback designed for preschool users. The DOS version is intended for one child at a time and is structured around short, repeatable sessions.
Plan your run
Let the child explore the activities without supplying every answer immediately. Encourage identifying pictures and sounds aloud, then repeat exercises that cause difficulty. Short sessions are more suitable than continuous play, and an adult can help interpret prompts when necessary.
Before you begin
Use the activities as guided practice rather than as a scored test.
Repeat difficult recognition and matching exercises in short sessions.
Fun School 4: For the Under 5s is an educational children's game developed by Database Educational Software and published by Europress Software for DOS. It presents a collection of simple activities designed for preschool children, using pictures, sounds, matching, recognition, and basic problem solving rather than a single story-driven adventure. The play style is short-session and exploratory, with activities intended to be approachable for children who are beginning to use a computer. Historically, it belongs to Europress's established Fun School line of age-targeted educational releases and was received primarily as a home-learning title rather than a conventional commercial game.
