Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective. The objective is to guide the furry through individual stages, avoid hazards and enemies, collect useful items, and reach the exit. Rooms and corridors are arranged as compact obstacle courses with switches, moving platforms, barriers, and passages that require specific abilities.
The furry acquires and uses different powers during the adventure. These powers alter how it interacts with the environment and allow access to new routes. Progression is primarily stage-based, with later areas combining earlier mechanics into more complex puzzles and platforming sequences.
Plan your run
Study each room before committing to a jump, especially when moving platforms or hazards are involved. Treat newly acquired powers as puzzle tools as well as defensive abilities.
Before you begin
Observe moving hazards before crossing them.
Use the power that matches the obstacle instead of relying on repeated jumps.
Explore carefully; some routes are easy to overlook.
Fury of the Furries is a DOS platform game developed by Kalisto Entertainment and published by Mindscape in 1993. It follows a small furry creature exploring a colorful world filled with hazards, enemies, switches, and environmental puzzles. The game combines traditional side-scrolling platforming with ability-based problem solving: progress depends on using the appropriate power in the appropriate situation. Its large set of stages, bright presentation, and demanding obstacle courses gave it a distinctive identity among early-1990s computer platformers. The game was generally remembered for its inventive mechanics and substantial challenge, although some players found its controls and later levels unforgiving.
