Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
Matches are fought one opponent at a time in enclosed 3D arenas. The objective is to reduce the opponent's health before the round timer expires, while avoiding attacks and managing positioning.
Players move around the arena, use strikes and defensive actions, and can perform character-specific special moves. A single-player tournament structure provides progression through successive opponents, while versus play supports direct matches. Exact move inputs vary by fighter and control configuration.
Plan your run
Learn the spacing and timing of the selected fighter before relying on special moves. Staying close enough to attack while avoiding unnecessary movement helps make the behind-the-fighter perspective more manageable.
Watch the opponent's recovery after missed attacks and respond during that opening. In tournament play, preserve health when possible because later fights leave less room for repeated mistakes.
FX Fighter is a 1995 3D fighting game developed by Argonaut Software and published by GTE Entertainment for DOS. It presents one-on-one battles between futuristic combatants in polygonal arenas, with each fighter using a distinct set of attacks and special moves. The game is played from a behind-the-fighter perspective and emphasizes direct real-time combat rather than exploration or story-driven progression. Its use of 3D characters and arenas was technically notable for its period. Reception was mixed, with praise for its ambition and presentation but criticism directed at combat responsiveness and depth.
