How it plays

How does Ghost Rider play?

Ghost Rider is viewed from a side-scrolling perspective. The player guides Johnny Blaze through linear stages, defeating demons, avoiding hazards, collecting items, and reaching the end of each level. Combat focuses on melee strikes and chained attacks, with special powers used against tougher groups and bosses.

Some sections place Ghost Rider on his flaming motorcycle, changing the pace to high-speed traversal and combat. Progression is stage-based, with new areas and encounters unlocked by completing preceding missions. The game is primarily a single-player campaign.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Ghost Rider?

Learn the range and timing of the chain attacks instead of repeatedly attacking at close range. Strike, move away from enemy groups, and use special powers when several opponents are clustered or when a boss is vulnerable.

On motorcycle stages, prioritize avoiding hazards and maintaining control over attacking every target. Before entering a boss encounter, preserve health and any available special resources, then attack during clearly exposed recovery periods.
