Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
Matches are viewed from an elevated perspective, with the active footballer controlled directly while teammates are positioned by the game. The main objective is to score more goals than the opposing side before the match ends.
Players move around the pitch, pass, shoot, challenge for possession, and defend space. Progression is based on completing matches and advancing through the available competition structure rather than on character development or role-playing statistics.
Plan your run
Keep possession with short passes and avoid forcing forward balls into crowded areas. Move the active player into a useful supporting position before attempting a pass.
Defensively, protect the space between the ball and goal instead of chasing every opponent. Use shots selectively and create room near the penalty area before striking.
Before you begin
Use controlled passing to draw defenders away from the center of the pitch.
Track the opponent’s likely passing lane rather than running directly at the ball.
Create shooting space before attempting a high-risk long-range effort.
Goal! II is an association-football game developed and published by Anco Software for DOS. It presents a direct, arcade-influenced interpretation of football, with the player controlling a team through matches rather than managing a detailed club simulation. The game focuses on passing, shooting, tackling, goalkeeper play, and positioning from a top-down or elevated match view. It belongs to Anco’s Goal! series and follows the original Goal! with expanded match play and team options. Contemporary reception was generally centered on its accessible controls and fast action, although its presentation and depth were limited by the technology and design conventions of the period.
