How it plays

How does Great Courts 2 play?

Matches are viewed from behind the player, with the court extending toward the opponent. The objective is to win points through legal serves, ground strokes, volleys, and lobs while forcing errors or placing the ball beyond the opponent’s reach.

Players can compete in singles or doubles and choose among court surfaces with different playing characteristics. Progression is based on match results rather than a large campaign system; the main challenge comes from learning positioning, shot timing, and the behavior of each surface.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Great Courts 2?

Move into a good position before the ball arrives instead of chasing it at the last moment. Use safer shots during long rallies, then change direction when the opponent is pulled wide.

Serve placement and net play are especially important in doubles. Adapt your pace and positioning to the court surface, and avoid approaching the net when your return leaves the opponent an easy passing angle.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Watch the ball and your player’s position together; late movement makes accurate returns difficult.

  2. 2

Use angles to move an opponent away from the center before attempting a winner.

  3. 3

In doubles, cover the open side of the court after your partner commits forward.
