Gizmo
The Mogwai protagonist controlled by the player. He uses a camera flash to fight gremlins.
How it plays
The game uses a side-view action perspective. Gizmo moves through individual areas of the Clamp Center, jumps across hazards, avoids or defeats gremlins, and collects useful objects.
Progression is stage-based: completing one area leads to the next, with tougher enemies and hazards appearing later. The camera flash is the central attack, so positioning and timing matter more than complex combat.
Plan your run
Move cautiously and learn the timing of enemy patterns before crossing narrow platforms. Keep Gizmo away from hazards rather than relying on the attack alone.
Use the camera flash deliberately, especially when a gremlin blocks a confined route. Explore each area for useful objects before advancing, but avoid unnecessary contact damage.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch is a 1990 DOS action platformer based on the Warner Bros. film sequel. The player controls Gizmo as he searches the Clamp Center and confronts gremlins created by the Mogwai's transformation. The game combines side-view movement, jumping, item collection, and attacks with Gizmo's camera flash. Its structure follows a sequence of hazardous areas rather than an open-ended adventure, with enemies and obstacles filling each stage. As a licensed movie game, it was primarily remembered for its recognizable premise and characters; contemporary and retrospective opinions have generally regarded it as a modest tie-in rather than a landmark DOS action game.
