How it plays
Battles use a two-dimensional side view and one-on-one rounds, while the overall match structure is based on three-member teams. Players select fighters, defeat an opponent, and continue against the remaining members of the opposing team.
The objective is to reduce the opponent's life bar before time expires. Fighters use punches, kicks, special moves, defensive maneuvers, and team-based order selection. Progression follows a tournament path, with later matches leading to stronger opponents and story encounters.
Plan your run
Learn the range and recovery of each character's normal attacks before relying on special moves. Keep a balanced team order: a character with reliable neutral attacks is useful first, while a high-damage fighter can be saved for later rounds.
Use jumping attacks carefully, since predictable jumps are easy to counter. Conserve life and meter where possible, and practice motion inputs in training or versus play before attempting them in tournament matches.

The King of Fighters EX: NeoBlood is a 2002 Game Boy Advance fighting game developed and published by Marvelous Entertainment. It adapts the team-based format of SNK's The King of Fighters series to Nintendo's handheld, using a compact roster and simplified presentation while retaining arcade-style battles. Players assemble teams of fighters, defeat rival groups, and advance through a tournament framed by a new storyline involving Kyo Kusanagi and the mysterious Moe Habana. The game was received as a technically ambitious portable fighter, though reviews commonly noted its limited roster, uneven balance, and constrained animation compared with the arcade originals. It remains notable as one of the few original King of Fighters games made specifically for the Game Boy Advance.
