How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective across a large interconnected map. Kirby must locate four major areas, defeat bosses, recover the shattered pieces of the Amazing Mirror, and eventually confront the threat behind the corruption.
Kirby walks, jumps, floats, inhales enemies, and copies many enemy abilities. Warp doors and cannons connect distant parts of the map, while switches and hidden rooms reward backtracking. In single-player mode, three computer-controlled Kirbys can be summoned; up to four players can cooperate with compatible multiplayer equipment.
Plan your run
Explore each connected area carefully rather than rushing toward the next boss. Mark unexplored doors mentally, because many routes become useful only after obtaining a new Copy Ability or triggering a switch.
Use the map and warp points to reduce backtracking. Keep a versatile ability such as Beam, Sword, or Bomb when possible, and summon helper Kirbys for difficult battles or crowded rooms.

Kirby & the Amazing Mirror is a 2004 Game Boy Advance action platformer developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. Kirby is drawn into the Mirror World, where a corrupted Meta Knight creates a dark counterpart and splits Kirby into four color-coded heroes. Instead of following a strictly linear stage sequence, the game presents a connected world filled with rooms, secret passages, collectibles, and boss encounters. Kirby can inhale enemies, copy their abilities, and call the other Kirbys for assistance. Its open-ended structure and optional exploration gave the game a distinct identity within the series. Critics and players generally praised its inventive map, cooperative multiplayer, and generous ability system, while some found navigation less straightforward than in traditional Kirby games.
