Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
Each level is viewed from above and presents a closed puzzle area. The objective is generally to collect the necessary items and reach the exit without being destroyed or making the position unsolvable.
The player moves through hazards, avoids or handles hostile creatures, activates mechanisms, and manipulates objects to open a path. Progress comes from solving levels in sequence; the main challenge is learning how timing, movement, and level elements interact.
Plan your run
Study the whole screen before moving. Identify the exit, required items, dangerous tiles, enemy routes, and any object that can block a corridor permanently.
Use short, deliberate movements around hazards and avoid taking an item or pushing an object until its consequences are clear. If a level becomes impossible, restart early rather than trying to repair a bad sequence.
Krkal is a DOS puzzle game built around compact, increasingly demanding obstacle courses. The player guides the small protagonist through maze-like screens, collects the required objects, and finds a route to the exit while dealing with enemies, hazards, switches, and movable elements. Its design emphasizes observation and careful planning rather than reflex-heavy combat. Levels are self-contained, so failure usually means restarting a screen and trying a different sequence of actions. Krkal is associated with the Czech DOS game scene of the 1990s and is remembered as a challenging freeware-style puzzle title, particularly for its large collection of handcrafted stages and unusual situations.
