Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game is viewed from the side and uses horizontal-scrolling shooter mechanics. The objective is to move through each stage, destroy airborne and ground-based enemies, avoid projectiles and terrain hazards, and defeat the end-of-stage boss.
The player controls a combat vehicle that can transform between a ground vehicle and a flying form. This changes movement and positioning options during play. Weapon power-ups improve offensive capability, while successive stages increase enemy density and introduce more demanding patterns.
Plan your run
Stay mobile rather than remaining directly in front of enemy formations. Clear dangerous enemies before concentrating on scenery or collectibles, and use the vehicle's transformation to reposition around hazards.
Conserve upgraded firepower when approaching boss encounters, but prioritize survival over risky attacks. Learn the timing of recurring projectile patterns and keep a safe route open before the screen becomes crowded.
Before you begin
Use transformation to change your movement options when terrain or enemy fire limits your route.
Prioritize power-ups and eliminate enemies that can trap you against the edge of the screen.
Boss patterns become easier to manage when you keep moving and attack from a consistent safe position.
Last Duel: Inter Planet War 2012 is a science-fiction arcade shoot 'em up developed by Capcom and later made available for DOS. Set in a future conflict between Earth and hostile forces, it places the player in a heavily armed combat vehicle fighting through mechanized enemies and dangerous planetary battlefields. The game combines horizontal shooting with vehicle transformation, giving its action a distinctive tactical rhythm for its era. Players advance through compact stages, destroy enemy formations, collect upgrades, and confront large bosses. Its fast pace, colorful visuals, and unusual transformation mechanic helped it stand out in arcades, although the DOS version is less widely documented than the original arcade release. The game is best remembered as a specialized Capcom shooter rather than a major long-running franchise.
