Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
Play takes place across a sequence of golf holes viewed from above. The objective is to complete each hole in as few strokes as possible, avoiding bunkers, water, trees, and other hazards while accounting for wind and distance.
Before a shot, the player chooses a club and sets the direction. A timing-based swing determines the quality of contact and the resulting ball flight. Progress is measured by the score for each hole and the cumulative total for the round. The available DOS version may differ in input details from the arcade release.
Plan your run
Study the hole before committing to a shot. Favor a safe landing area over maximum distance when hazards or narrow fairways make a direct approach risky.
Choose a club according to the remaining distance, lie, and wind rather than distance alone. Practice the swing timing on open fairways, then use conservative shots around greens and hazards.
Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf is a golf simulation developed by SNK and adapted for DOS. Despite its playful title, it presents a conventional round of golf rather than a fighting game: players select a golfer, study each hole, choose clubs, and attempt to finish with the lowest score. The game combines a top-down course view with timing-based shot control. Wind, terrain, hazards, and club selection affect the result of every stroke. Its arcade-oriented design makes individual holes easy to understand while preserving the basic decisions of golf. The DOS release is historically notable as a computer conversion of an SNK arcade title, although detailed information about its publication and reception is limited.
