How it plays
A Link to the Past uses a top-down perspective. Link explores an overworld, enters dungeons, solves environmental puzzles, finds dungeon items, defeats bosses, and gains access to new areas. The Light World and Dark World contain connected but distinct versions of Hyrule.
Four Swords supports cooperative and competitive play for two to four players through linked Game Boy Advance systems. Players complete short stages, gather force gems, defeat enemies, solve puzzles, and compete for the highest score. Progress comes from opening new routes, collecting equipment, and completing the required objectives.
Plan your run
Search every dungeon room for switches, hidden passages, and chests before moving on. Dungeon items are usually essential for both solving local puzzles and defeating the dungeon boss.
Maintain bottles, fairies, and healing potions when possible. In Four Swords, divide tasks between players, but regroup before collecting major rewards or entering dangerous rooms.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past & Four Swords is a Game Boy Advance action-adventure release developed by Nintendo and Capcom and published by Nintendo. It combines a portable version of the acclaimed Super Nintendo adventure with Four Swords, a multiplayer-focused Zelda game built around cooperation and competition. A Link to the Past follows Link as he explores Hyrule and the Dark World, clears dungeons, collects equipment, and confronts Ganon. Four Swords uses compact stages, shared objectives, and competitive scoring. The package was well received for preserving the original adventure while adding a substantial second game, although Four Swords requires multiple linked Game Boy Advance systems for its full multiplayer experience.
