Batman
The principal hero, equipped with combat skills and specialized gadgets for interacting with objects.
How it plays
The game uses a third-person platforming perspective across self-contained stages. Players move through Gotham-themed environments, defeat enemies, collect studs, activate mechanisms, and solve puzzles with abilities tied to different heroes.
Progression comes from completing story levels, unlocking characters, and revisiting stages to find additional collectibles. The campaign is designed around switching between available heroes rather than the larger open-world structure found in some other versions.
Plan your run
Study each area before moving on, because many puzzles require the correct hero ability rather than repeated attacks.
Collect studs and explore side paths whenever possible. When a stage can later be replayed with additional characters, remember the location of blocked routes and unusual objects so they can be checked in free-play or replay modes.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is an action-adventure platform game developed by Traveller's Tales for Nintendo DS and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It follows Batman and Robin as they join forces with Superman and other DC heroes to stop the Joker and Lex Luthor. The DS edition presents a more compact, level-based experience than the console versions, combining jumping, combat, character abilities, and environmental puzzles. Its light comedy, collectible-focused design, and broad DC roster received generally favorable attention, although the handheld version is more limited in scale and presentation.
