How it plays
The game uses a side-scrolling perspective. Each stage follows a scene from the original trilogy and usually combines platforming, blaster or lightsaber combat, environmental puzzles, and collectible hunting.
Players switch between available characters to use different abilities, defeat enemies, assemble LEGO objects, and open routes. Story stages can be replayed to find additional collectibles and reach areas that were inaccessible during the first visit.
Plan your run
Search each area before moving to the next objective. Studs and hidden objects are often placed above the main route or behind destructible LEGO scenery.
Use the character with the appropriate ability rather than trying to force a route with the current hero. Replay completed stages when a newly available character can reach previously blocked areas.

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy is a side-scrolling action-platformer developed by Amaze Entertainment for the Game Boy Advance and published by LucasArts in 2006. It retells the events of the original Star Wars trilogy through compact platforming stages, light puzzle solving, combat, vehicle sections, and LEGO-themed humor. Players control heroes and villains from the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire while collecting studs, finding hidden items, and using character abilities to overcome obstacles. The handheld version is structurally different from the console editions, with a more traditional 2D presentation and simplified systems. It was generally regarded as a competent and enjoyable portable adaptation, particularly for its accessible cooperative-style character switching and faithful use of the films’ settings.
