Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
Each stage is a single-screen or scrolling arena filled with enemies, livestock, obstacles, and power-ups. The main objective is usually to rescue the sheep and destroy enough opposition to clear the level. The llama can move in several directions while firing, and survival depends on managing enemy approaches and collecting useful bonuses.
Progression consists of many increasingly difficult stages. Power-ups can improve the weapon, add special attacks, or provide temporary defensive and offensive advantages. The game rewards aggressive movement, memorizing dangerous patterns, and using limited screen-clearing attacks at the right moment.
Plan your run
Keep moving around the arena instead of fighting from one fixed position. Rescue sheep when the immediate area is safe, but avoid crossing dense enemy formations merely to collect a single animal.
Save powerful attacks for crowded screens or enemies that block escape routes. Learn which power-ups improve survival and which merely encourage risky attacks, and use the arena edges carefully because they can become dangerous when enemies surround the llama.
Before you begin
Prioritize survival when several sheep are exposed at once.
Use wide-area attacks before the screen becomes completely crowded.
Watch enemy movement patterns and avoid standing still.
Llamatron: 2112 is a fast, surreal arcade shooter designed by Jeff Minter and released for DOS by Llamasoft. It places the player in control of a combat llama defending livestock from waves of hostile creatures and other bizarre enemies. The game uses a top-down arena perspective and emphasizes constant movement, rapid firing, rescue objectives, and explosive power-ups rather than a conventional story. Its structure draws heavily from Defender while adding Minter’s eccentric visual style, psychedelic sound, and humorous presentation. The DOS release is remembered as an unusual and demanding shareware-era action game, particularly for its frantic pace, large enemy groups, and distinctive atmosphere.
