Spider-Man
A highly mobile hero who uses agility, web-based powers, and close-range attacks.
How it plays
The game uses a side-scrolling action perspective. Players guide a team of Marvel heroes through combat-focused stages, defeating enemies, completing objectives, and advancing the story.
A small group of heroes can be assembled for each mission, with the player switching between available characters during play. Battles reward movement, normal attacks, special abilities, and use of character-specific powers. Progression comes from clearing stages and improving the effectiveness of the selected team.
Plan your run
Learn enemy attack patterns before committing to extended combos, especially in crowded rooms. Keep the active hero moving and switch characters when a matchup or special ability is more useful.
Use each hero according to their strengths: agile characters can evade pressure, while durable melee fighters can hold enemy attention. Explore stages for useful pickups and avoid spending special abilities when ordinary attacks are sufficient.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is a superhero action RPG and beat 'em up developed for Game Boy Advance by Barking Lizards Technologies and published by Activision. It adapts the broader Marvel team-up premise into a portable adventure centered on assembling a squad of heroes and stopping a worldwide threat. The game emphasizes direct combat, character switching, and progression through story-driven missions rather than the more expansive presentation of the console versions. Its portable release was generally recognized as a distinct adaptation, with simplified visuals and systems designed for the GBA. Reception focused on the appeal of controlling familiar Marvel characters on a handheld, while also noting the technical and structural limitations of the platform.
